Important: If you are using older versions of Trellix products on macOS, make sure to install or upgrade to the latest rebranded version for all the products to function normally. Upgrading any one of the products, except Trellix Agent and Trellix Policy Auditor, removes all other products that were previously installed. For more information about installing or upgrading Trellix products on macOS, see KB96485.

Support for Apple Silicon M1 and M2 — Trellix MNE 5.2.3 supports a Universal Binary approach where M1/M2 processors are supported natively by MNE. If the processor is Intel, the application will run natively on Intel. If the processor is M1/M2 chipset, the application will run natively in M1/M2. This native M1/M2 supports only Mac. This works without the Rosetta layer. This means if the Rosetta is disabled, Mac supports M1/M2.

Note: All subsequent versions following the Trellix MNE 5.2.2 release shall support only Windows 10 and above for client systems and Windows Server 2016 and above for server systems. See supported KB79375 for more details.
As part of rebranding, the certificates used to sign our software have been updated. If your enterprise automatically updates root certificates, the software update/installation does not require any additional effort. However, if your enterprise manages root certificate updates manually, you need to install the new intermediate and root certificates.

Product Name - McAfee Management of Native Encryption is renamed to Trellix Management of Native Encryption.
Brand logo — McAfee® logo is replaced with Trellix logo.
User interface — Color and typeface are updated and provide better user experience.
End User License Agreement and Copyright — The End User License Agreement and Copyright are updated as per legal requirements. Read the agreement for details.
