Upgrading your existing Trellix DLP Network Monitor appliance software to a new version provides the latest functionalities supported.
Note
McAfee DLP 9.3.x doesn't support a direct upgrade to Trellix DLP Network Monitor version 11.x, you must reinstall the appliance software from a CD or USB drive.
Download and extract the appliance software and extensions from the Trellix download site. The upgrade files are distributed as .iso files. You can write the .iso file to a CD or USB drive, or copy the image over the appliance's internal installation image.
Notify the downtime to the ePO - On-prem administrators.
Prepare the appliance environment to upgrade the software.
Install the extensions in ePO - On-prem if the extensions are updated.
Copy the .iso file to the appliance, then boot from the internal installation image.
You don't have to reconfigure the IP addresses as the existing configured IP addresses are considered for configuration if you select the full upgrade mode. You have to reconfigure the IP addresses if you choose other upgrade modes.
