Trellix CP 1.1.0 is not backwards compatible with Trellix CP 1.0.0. This means that both the Trellix CP server and the Trellix CP extension must be at version 1.1.0. Whilst the Trellix CP extension does support upgrade from version 1.0.0, the Conduit Platform server does not. Therefore administrators have to disable or uninstall Trellix CP server 1.0.0 before installing the Trellix CP server 1.1.0.
Use this high-level process to upgrade from Trellix CP server 1.0.0 to Trellix CP server 1.1.0.
Disable or uninstall Trellix CP server 1.0.0
Install Trellix CP server 1.1.0. For information about installing Trellix CPserver 1.1.0, refer to the Install the Trellix CP server section.
Note
The communication between the Trellix CP server and extension will not work at this point of the upgrade process.
Upgrade the Trellix CP extension to 1.1.0. For information about upgrading the Trellix CPextension from 1.0.0 to 1.1.0, refer to the Install the Trellix CP extension in ePolicy Orchestrator - On-prem section.
The upgrade is complete and communication should automatically be reestablished between the Trellix CP server and extension.
