Trellix DLP Network Prevent – SaaS appliance contains a partition with an internal installation image, which you can use to upgrade or reinstall the appliance update, hotfix, or new version.
Use an SCP utility such as WinSCP to upload the file to the
/home/adminfolder on the appliance.SSH into the appliance and then move the iso file uploaded in Step. 1 to the
/home/admin/upload/iso/folder using the move command:mv <filename.iso> /home/admin/upload/iso/.Note
To verify that the transfer and ingestion of file is completed successfully, change to the
/home/admin/upload/iso/folder and make sure that no file is present in the folder. The file transferred to this folder disappears on successful ingestion, which means that the ingestion utility has picked the file and processed it for later use. The file usually disappears even before you can access the folder to check the upload. But, if the file is present in this folder after the upload is complete, it indicates an error. You can also check whether the installation succeeded or failed from/var/log/messagesor the Client Events page.Using the command-line session, log on to the appliance as administrator.
From the appliance console menu, select Upgrade.
Select Show the internal install image details to confirm the version.
The current installation image version must be the one you copied earlier.
Select option 1 Boot from the internal install image from Upgrade Menu and select OK.
Select option 1 from Upgrade Options, then select OK.
Options 1 to 3 enable you to preserve network and configuration data accordingly. Select option 4 to remove all data.
After the installation is complete, the appliance restarts preserving all data by selecting the default option 1.
A warning message about the kind of installation is displayed.
Select Yes to continue.
Return to the upgrade menu, and click Show the internal install image details to confirm the new version has been installed.
