In scenarios, where there is a merger or an acquisition or when there is a need to move an appliance to a different geographical location, you might have to choose to reprovision an Trellix DLP Network - SaaS appliance using another tenant account.
Obtain the Trellix DLP Network - SaaS appliance logon credentials for which you want to associate a new tenant account.
Configure cloud storage for saving evidence and fingerprint files.
Configure the web-proxy server settings in ePO - SaaS.
Before reprovisioning an appliance with a new tenant account, deprovision the appliance managed by ePO - SaaS and delete the appliance from the System Tree of the existing tenant account. For information about deprovisioning an appliance, contact Technical Support.
Consider you have provisioned an appliance using tenant account 1 and you want to reprovision the appliance using tenant account 2. Perform these steps to reprovision and manage the appliance using tenant account 2. The configuration policies and settings created using tenant account 1 aren't migrated to tenant account 2. You have to migrate the policies and settings using the Backup & Restore feature or create new policies and settings.
Log on to ePO - SaaS using the tenant account 2 (account from which you want to manage the appliance).
Reprovision the appliance with ePO - SaaS:
Generate the registration token in ePO - SaaS.
The registration token generated in ePO - SaaS must be entered in the Setup Wizard window while registering the appliance with ePO - SaaS. For generating the registration token, follow the instructions provided in Register appliances and servers.
Register the appliance with Trellix ePO - SaaS from the Setup Wizard. Enter the registration token and other web-proxy credentials in the Setup Wizard.
The appliance can't be managed using tenant account 1 any further. You need to reprovision the appliance again to manage it from tenant account 1.
After reprovisioning, log on to ePO - SaaS, configure the system settings and policies to start protecting data.
The appliance is now managed from tenant account 2.
