You can integrate the Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array with the Trellix DLP 7700 appliance to provide the required additional storage space for running the DLP Capture feature.

Identify the RAID controller connections.
The preinstalled hard disk drives in the Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array become the RAID volume for captured data in the Trellix DLP 7700 appliance when connected to the RAID controller. Locate the RAID controller connectors that you need to connect in the appliance.

Identify the RAID backup unit.
The Flash Backed Write Cache (FBWC) installed on the RAID controller preserves the write cache contents in its flash memory. Upon power loss, the super capacitor provides power to the RAID card while it copies write cache contents into flash memory.
The Trellix DLP 7700 appliance doesn't use an internal backup unit (super capacitor). Install the backup unit for the DLP Capture RAID controller using the single tier backup unit to protect the RAID cache if there is a power outage.

Install the RAID controller inside the appliance.
Install the RAID controller in the Trellix DLP 7700 appliance before connecting the appliance to Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array.

Install the RAID backup unit inside the appliance.
The RAID backup unit protects the RAID cache if there is a power outage. Install the backup unit and connect it to the RAID controller.

Connect the Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array to the Trellix DLP 7700 appliance.
Install the hardware boxes in a rack.
Before connecting the Trellix DLP Network appliance to the network, install the Trellix DLP Network appliance and the Trellix DLP Capture Storage Array in a rack.
