Enables lockout of accounts based on failed authentication attempts.

Note

This command only applies to the admin user account. It does not apply to other user accounts with administrative privileges.

Syntax

[no] aaa authentication attempts lockout enable

Parameters

Use the no form of this command to disable lockout of accounts based on failed authentication attempts.

Example

The following enables account lockouts on the appliance based on failed authentication attempts:

hostname (config) # aaa authentication attempts lockout enable

The following disables lockouts on the appliance:

hostname (config) # no aaa authentication attempts lockout enable
