Upgrade support

This release supports upgrading from TACC 9.0.0.

New or changed

Migration support—This release supports the migration from TACC on ePO - On-prem to TACC on ePO - SaaS.

Caution: Before you begin the migration, be aware of these critical considerations:

  • Endpoints with both Application Control (AC) and Change Control (CC) licenses are not eligible for migration. Attempting to migrate these endpoints will fail.

  • GTI and TIE reputation-based execution are not supported in TACC on ePO - SaaS. These features are permanently disabled after migration.

Prerequisites

Before migrating, ensure that your environment meets these prerequisites:

  • ePO - On-prem — Version 5.10.0 Update 15 or later.

  • TACC extension — You must upgrade the extension to version 8.4.4.131. For details, refer to the Trellix Application and Change Control 8.4.4 Hotfix 1 Release Notes.

Important: If your current TACC extension is version 8.4.0 or earlier, you must first upgrade to version 8.4.1 or later and then upgrade to 8.4.4.131.

  • TACC client — The following client versions are supported for migration:

    • 8.3.6.22

    • 8.3.6.297 (Hotfix build)

    • 8.3.7.19

    • 8.4.0.331

    • 8.4.1.114

  • ePO - SaaS Migration extension — The minimum supported version is 5.10.0.1643.

After migrating to ePO - SaaS, it is recommended to upgrade the TACC client to the latest version. Until the client is upgraded, the system can report a mismatched version number in the System Tree. After you upgrade the client, you must reboot the system for the new TACC client version to appear in the System Tree.

For more information about migration, see the “Migrating TACC from ePO - On-prem to ePO - SaaS” section in the Trellix Application and Change Control 9.0.x Product Guide.

Dark mode support—The product interface now dynamically switches between dark and light mode to match your selected display preferences.
