File acquisitions are downloadable .zip files. encrypted using a passphrase that is set whenever an acquisition request is made. The default passphrase is unzip-me.
Changing this setting does not change the passphrase for acquisitions that were already requested.
Important
Changing the passphrase does not improve security. The passphrase is designed to prevent antivirus software from flagging the package as malicious when downloaded. Acquisition packages may contain malicious content.
To change the passphrase for file acquisitions using the CLI:
Enable CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal
Change the passphrase for file acquisitions:
hostname (config) # hx server acquisition default-zip-passphrase <passphrase>
Specify a passphrase that does not exceed 8192 characters. The default is
unzip-me.To restore the default passphrase:
hostname (config) # no hx server acquisition default-zip-passphrase
Save your settings.
