Specifies the default authentication method for clients attempting to connect to the Central Management System appliance using the rendezvous feature.

The Central Management Console (CMC) is the Central Management System appliance component that provides basic management and control capabilities for the rendezvous server (Central Management System appliance) and its clients (managed appliances).

Note

The rendezvous process requires configuration on both the Central Management System appliance and the requesting appliance. You use the cmc rendezvous server commands on the Central Management System appliance and cmc rendezvous client commands on the managed appliance.

Syntax

[no] cmc rendezvous server default authtype {password | ssh-dsa2 | ssh-rsa2}

Use the no parameter to reset the system to the default authentication type (password).

password

Sets the authentication type to use a username/password. (default)

ssh-dsa2

Sets the authentication type to use a an ssh key using the dsa2 cypher.

ssh-rsa2

Sets the authentication type to use a an ssh key using the rsa2 cypher.

Example

In this example, the client with the IP address 192.168.4.56 is accepted.

hostname (config) # cmc rendezvous server auth default authtype password
