Prev Next

On the Azure server, you must create a virtual server and start a Virtual Machine (VM) instance to install ePO - On-prem.

You must have a Microsoft Azure account to complete this task.

Perform these steps to install and configure ePO - On-prem in an Azure server to manage your clients.

  1. Get an Azure account from https://azure.microsoft.com/.

  2. Log on to the Azure console and configure your virtual server.

    1. Start a VM instance.

      Note

Select the location for your virtual server nearest to most of your ePO - On-prem managed systems.

    2. Configure Inbound Security Rules on Azure.

In Azure, a firewall is called as Inbound Security Rules and must be created to allow a Trellix Agent to connect to the ePO - On-prem server.

      Note

Make sure that you configure your Inbound Security Rules according to ePO - On-prem server port requirements.

    3. Capture the Azure instance public DNS name, or IP address, that Azure created.

      Note

Assign an elastic IP address to the public DNS name or IP address.

  3. Use Remote Desktop Connection and the DNS name, or public IP address, to connect to the Azure server.

  4. Install ePO - On-prem using software provided by Trellix and information from the Azure SQL database server.

  5. Create a Trellix Agent URL or Trellix Agent installation package.

The ePO - On-prem server starts managing your systems.
