You can create a Trellix Smart Installer URL by selecting the required operating system and Trellix Agent version on the ePO - On-prem dashboard . You can set Trellix Agent or other Trellix products to update automatically while creating a Trellix Smart Installer URL. If you select other Trellix products to be included in the installer, a deployment task is created to install the product. These products are then installed after the first agent-server communication.
On the ePO - On-prem console, select → → .
On the Getting Started pane, click Customize Installation.
Enter a group name.
Select an operating system from the Platform dropdown list.
Select the required software and policies.
Note
By default, the Trellix Agent checkbox is selected, and you cannot clear the checkbox.
Select Software is automatically updated to the latest version if you want Trellix Agent or other products to be updated automatically.
Click Done. You can install Trellix Agent either by downloading the generated Smart Installer file or access the installation URL that is created on the Getting Started pane of the Dashboards page.
Distribute the Trellix Smart Installer file to the managed system users with administrator rights or send the Smart Installer URL to endpoint users through email or shared network. After receiving the installation URL, open the browser to access the URL, then download and run the installer.
After Trellix Agent is installed, it downloads the product software you selected while creating an installation URL.
