Create alarm message templates

Create alarm message templates for email, Short Message Services (text message), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), or syslog. You can then associate the templates with specific alarm actions and message recipients.

You can't edit or delete predefined templates.

Don't use [$Average Severity]; it is calculated at the Receiver and will return "not calculated" in the email.

From the Trellix ESM dashboard, click and select More Settings.
On the system navigation tree, select Trellix ESM and click .

From System Properties, click Alarm Templates.

Add Format messages sent to recipients when an alarm is triggered or escalated.
	Type	Indicate whether templates are for email or text messages. Email Recipient Template SMS Recipient Template - limit to 140 characters. The system sends an email message to an SMS gateway, which converts it to a text message and sends it to the phone. SNMP Template Syslog Template - limit the message body to fewer than 950 bytes. Trellix ESM can't send syslog messages that exceed 950 bytes.
	Name	Specifies the name of the template.
	Description	Specifies the description.
	Subject	Specifies the subject of the email recipient.
Edit	Select the custom template and edit it.
Remove	Select the custom template and remove it from the list.
Copy	Select the default or custom template and copy to create a template.
Make Default	Select the default or custom template and make it the default template.
