Creating an image file from an Azure blob file

This section describes how to create an image file from a .vhd blob file.

To create an image file:

In the Azure portal, select All services, and then click Images under Compute.
Click Add. The Create image page opens.
Enter a Name for the image.
Make sure the correct Subscription is selected.
Select your Resource group.
Make sure the correct region (Location) is selected.
Select Linux as the OS type.
For Storage blob, click Browse and navigate to and select the .vhd file.
Click Create.
