Set up an Trellix ESM
Determine the size of your boot volume disk. Keeping the size small helps performance, but you should balance this with storage requirements. The starting size is 500 GB, but your deployment might require more space based on event ingestion rates. Your Trellix Technical Expert can help optimize disk size.
From the Oracle Console, click the navigation menu
and select Core Infrastructure.Click Compute and select Instances.
Click Create Instance.
The provisioning page opens.
Type a name for the Trellix ESM.
Select the image.
Click Change Image Source.
Select the Trellix ESM image you created earlier.
Click Select Image.
The Trellix ESM image is shown on the provisioning page.
Select an availability domain.
Select Virtual Machine.
Click Select Shape and select VM.Standard.2.24.
Configure the network.
Leave the default Boot Volume size.
Note
Ignore the SSH section.
Click Create.
A progress monitor appears on the provisioning page. The process takes about 15 minutes.
Log on to the Trellix ESM and configure it.
(Optional) If you need to change the boot volume disk size, run ResizeVmVolume.sda.
