You can deploy Trellix Agent 5.8.x on multiple Linux systems at the same time using ePO - On-prem. We recommend this method if you want to deploy Trellix Agent on multiple systems that are available under System Tree.
Enable SSH on Linux system.
You must have root permissions to deploy Trellix Agent on Linux system.
You can deploy Trellix Agent using ePO - On-prem on the Linux-based operating systems. For more information on the supported operating systems, see KB51573.
Comment the following line in the
/etc/sudoersfile on the Red Hat system.Default requiretty

You can deploy Trellix Agent only on the Linux system using this method. If you need to install on multiple operating systems or versions, repeat this task for each additional target operating system or version.
On the ePO - On-prem console, select → → , then select the groups or systems where you want to deploy Trellix Agent.
At the bottom of the page, select → → .
Select the appropriate Agent version for Linux from the list.
Select Install only on systems that do not already have an agent managed by this Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator - On-premises server.
Enter the valid domain name, user name, and password associated with the user account. Select the Remember my credentials for future deployments check box to save credentials.
A default value is set for Installation path, Number of attempts, Retry interval, and Cancel after fields. Change values in these fields if you want to replace the default values.
Assign the appropriate Agent Handler to communicate with ePO - On-prem server for deployment:
All Agent Handlers: All Agent Handlers can communicate with ePO on-prem server.
Select Agent Handler: Select a specific Agent Handler from the list that you prefer to communicate with server.
Click OK. Trellix Agent is deployed.
To verify that Trellix Agent is deployed on your endpoints, select → → , then select → .
