Deploy Trellix Agent 5.8.x on multiple Windows systems

You can deploy Trellix Agent 5.8.x on multiple Windows systems at the same time using . We recommend this method if you want to deploy Trellix Agent on multiple systems that are available under System Tree.

Note

You can deploy Trellix Agent only on the Windows system using this method. If you need to install on multiple operating systems or versions, repeat this task for each additional target operating system or version.

  1. On the console, select MenuSystemsSystem Tree, then select the groups or systems where you want to deploy Trellix Agent.

  2. At the bottom of the page, select ActionsAgentDeploy Agents.

  3. Select the appropriate Agent version for Windows from the list.

  4. Select from the following installation options:

    • Install only on systems that do not already have an agent managed by this ePolicy Orchestrator - On-prem server

    • Force installation over existing version - This option removes the existing Trellix Agent including policies, tasks, events, and logs, before the new Trellix Agent is installed.

      Note

      recommends using this option to change the installation directory or downgrade Trellix Agent.

  5. Enter the valid domain name, user name, and password associated with the user account. Select the Remember my credentials for future deployments check box to save credentials.

  6. A default value is set for Installation path, Number of attempts, Retry interval, and Cancel after fields. Change values in these fields if you want to replace the default values.

  7. Assign the appropriate Agent Handler to communicate with server for deployment:

    • All Agent Handlers: All Agent Handlers can communicate with server.

    • Select Agent Handler: Select a specific Agent Handler from the list that you prefer to communicate with server.

  8. Click OK. Trellix Agent is deployed.

  9. To verify that Trellix Agent is deployed on your endpoints, select MenuAutomationServer Task Log, then select Deploy Trellix AgentSubtasks.
