You can manually install Trellix Agent 5.8.x on Windows by creating an Agent installation package from the ePO - On-prem console. If you want the endpoint users (with local administrator rights) to install Trellix Agent on their own systems, distribute the installation package file to them through email or shared network.
On the ePO - On-prem console, select → → , then select New Systems.
Select Create and download agent installation package.
Select the appropriate Agent version for Windows from the list.
Deselect Embed Credentials in Package checkbox to receive the default package.
You can specify the embedded credentials only for Agent Embedded package for Windows.
Assign the appropriate Agent Handler to communicate with ePO - On-prem server for deployment:
All Agent Handlers: All Agent Handlers can communicate with ePO - On-prem server.
Select Agent Handler: Select a specific Agent Handler from the list that you prefer to communicate with ePO - On-prem server.
Additionally, you can select one more Agent Handler from Secondary Agent Handler if the agents are unable to communicate with the primary Agent Handler.
Click OK.
The installation package file
FramePkg.exeis created.Right-click and save the file.
Copy the installation package file from the ePO - On-prem console to a shared folder on a network server accessible by the endpoint user.
Right-click the file and select Run as administrator.
Click OK to complete the installation.
Trellix Agent is installed. It connects to the ePO - On-prem server and displays a new system in the Lost & Found group of System Tree in ePO - On-prem. You can then move the system to a required group.
