Upgrading Trellix Agent 5.8.x using installation package

You can manually upgrade to Trellix Agent 5.8.x on Windows by creating an Agent installation package file from the ePO - On-prem console.

Upgrading Trellix Agent using this method is identical to installing Trellix Agent for the first time.

1. Log on to your ePO - On-prem console.

2. Select Menu → Systems → System Tree, then select New Systems.

3. Select Create and download agent installation package.

4. Select the appropriate Agent version for Windows from the list.

5. Deselect Embed Credentials in Package checkbox to receive the default package.

   You can specify the embedded credentials only for Agent Embedded package for Windows.

6. Assign the appropriate Agent Handler to communicate with ePO - On-prem server for deployment.

7. Click OK. The installation package file FramePkg.exe is created.

8. Right-click and save the file.

9. Copy the installation package file from the ePO - On-prem console to a shared folder on a network server accessible by the endpoint user.

10. Right-click the file and select Run as administrator.

11. Click OK to complete the upgrade.
