You can manually upgrade Trellix Agent 5.8.x on Windows systems that are not managed by ePO - On-prem using the FramePkg_UPD.exe installer. When Trellix Agent is installed in unmanaged mode, the DXL client is automatically installed and in an idle state.
You must have administrator rights to upgrade Trellix Agent on the client system.
Download Trellix Agent 5.x.x Update X package (such as MA550XWIN.zip) for Windows from the Software Catalog on where "X" is the update value of the package, for example, Trellix Agent 5.5.0 Update 1.
Extract the package to a temporary location and copy FramePkg_UPD.exe to the client system.
Right-click FramePkg_UPD.exe and select Run as administrator. Alternatively, open the command prompt and run the following command.
<path>/FramePkg_UPD.exe/upgradeWhere <path> refers to the folder where you extracted FramePkg_UPD.exe (Example: C:\Temp).
