Installing Trellix Agent 5.8.x on unmanaged Windows systems

Install Trellix Agent 5.8.x on Windows systems that are not managed by ePO - On-prem using the FramePkg_UPD.exe installer. When Trellix Agent is installed in unmanaged mode, the DXL client is automatically installed and in an idle state.

You must have administrator rights to install Trellix Agent on the client system.

  1. Download Trellix Agent installation package MAxxxWIN.zip for Windows from the Software Catalog on ePO - On-prem.

  2. Extract the package to a temporary location and copy FramePkg_UPD.exe to the client system.

  3. Right-click FramePkg_UPD.exe and select Run as administrator.
