Use a Product Deployment client task from the Trellix ePO console to push the Trellix Agent and SIR to managed Windows endpoints. This is the recommended method for deploying to multiple systems that are managed by ePO.
Using the Trellix Agent for OT package
Log on to your Trellix ePO - On-prem console.
Navigate to → → .
On the Assigned Client Tasks tab, select → to open the Client Task Assignment Builder.
Create a new Product Deployment task.
For Product and components, select the Trellix Agent for OT package.
No command-line parameters are needed. SIR is installed automatically with this package.
Complete the task configuration by selecting the target platform and language, and then save the task.
Assign and run the task on your target Windows endpoints. Trellix Agent and SIR are installed.
Using the standard Trellix Agent for Windows package
Log on to your Trellix ePO - On-prem console.
Navigate to → → .
On the Assigned Client Tasks tab, select → to open the Client Task Assignment Builder.
Create a new Product Deployment task.
For Product and components, select the Trellix Agent package for Windows.
In the Command line, enter the following command:
/installsir
Note
/installsir using a deployment task works only when performing a fresh installation or an upgrade of Trellix Agent.
Complete the task configuration, save the task, and run it on your target Windows endpoints. Trellix Agent and SIR are installed using the command-line parameter.
