Option

Definition

SMTP server name

Specifies the IP address or name of the SMTP server.

SMTP server port

Specifies the port number used to communicate with the SMTP server.

Email Encryption (TLS support)

Allows you to enable/disable the TLS support.

When you enable this option, the port number in SMTP server port updates from an existing port number to 587.

From address

Specifies the email address that appears in the From textbox in email messages that are sent from the ePO - On-prem server.

Authentication

Specifies the credentials to authenticate to the email server.

  • Authenticate with OAuth 2 — Supports secure connection using Client ID/Secret for providers like Google and Microsoft, replacing basic authentication.

Configure the Client ID, Client Secret, and Redirect URI and click Authenticate.

Note

Due to the phasing out of basic authentication by providers like Google and Microsoft, OAuth 2 is the recommended method. Ensure you have the necessary permissions (e.g., 'Mail.Send' for Azure) configured on the cloud provider's side. For details see, KB14952.
