This command sets the maximum number of days an email will stay in any of the MTA queues before it is purged. The default value is 5 days. If soft bounce is enabled, emails are moved to the Bounced Queue when the max queue lifetime timer expires.
Syntax
email-analysis mta max-queue-lifetime <days>
Parameters
no
Sets the default value, which is 5 days.
days
The number of days an email stays in the queues. The range is from 1 to 15 days.
Examples
The following example restores the default number of days an email can remain the queues.
hostname (config) # no email-analysis mta max-queue-lifetime
The following example specifies that an email can only remain in the queues for 10 days.
hostname (config) # email-analysis mta max-queue-lifetime 10
