icap-service respmod enable

Prev Next

Enables or disables the response modification mode (RESPMOD) for the Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) service.

When you enable RESPMOD for the ICAP service on the Network Security appliance, a third-party device, acting as an ICAP client, can send an ICAP-encapsulated HTTP response to the Network Security appliance acting as an ICAP server. The ICAP server receives the file objects from the ICAP client and extracts the objects for analysis. When you disable RESPMOD for the ICAP service on the Network Security appliance, a 204 response code is sent to the ICAP client.

Note

By default, the response modification mode is enabled for the ICAP service.

For details about how to enable or disable the response modification mode for the ICAP service, see the "Configuring Threat Management" chapter of the Network Security User Guide.
