Identifying high-value hosts

Prev Next

High-value hosts are hosts you consider vital to your organization. These might be hosts that highly influence your system.

You can identify host sets that consist of high-value hosts and label them. This allows you to filter Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI lists for high-value hosts. You can quickly view alerts, acquisitions, and containment actions for high-value hosts and address events for them before addressing events for other hosts.

If your high-value hosts are included in multiple host sets with other hosts that are not high-value hosts, consider creating a new host set that includes only high-value hosts. For more information, read Working with host sets.

Prerequisites
  • Admin access

  • At least one host set is defined.

To identify high-value hosts using the Web UI:
  1. Log in to the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI.

  2. Navigate to the High-Value Hosts page. Select High-Value Hosts on the Manage Hosts menu. The High-Value Hosts page opens. All defined host sets are listed on this page.

  3. In the Host Sets area, select the host sets containing high-value hosts.

  4. Click Save.

The total number of hosts included in the high-value host sets you select is shown.
