This section provides the information you need to manage hosts and host sets.

A host is a computer, server, or other endpoint system on the network. The Endpoint Security (HX) software monitors hosts for suspicious activity. EDRF Client software is installed on each individual host endpoint. To complete the installation, the EDRF Client connects to a provisioning appliance.

After provisioning, you can view the host on the Hosts page of the Endpoint Security (HX) Web UI. The system assigns a unique ID to the EDRF Client to identify the host endpoint during processing.

Hosts can also be grouped into host sets to customize Endpoint Security (HX) functional operations, such as containment and agent upgrades. See Configuring host sets.

You can also create a host set of high-value hosts, which allows you to quickly view the most important hosts in your enterprise. See Identifying high-value hosts.
