When the supported appliance is operating in layer 3 mode, this command configures or removes a static route for the specified VRF instance.
Note
The following Network Security virtual appliances support layer 3 mode: NX 2500V, NX 2501V, NX 2550V, NX 4500V, and NX 6500V.
Syntax
[no] ip route vrf <netNameSpace> <nextHop> [portName]
Parameters
<netNameSpace>
The network namespace for the VRF instance:
vrfA―Maps to monitoring port pairs pether3 and pether4.vrfB―Maps to monitoring port pairs pether5 and pether6.vrfC―Maps to monitoring port pairs pether7 and pether8.vrfD―Maps to monitoring port pairs pether9 and pether10.
<nextHop>
The IPv4 address of the next-hop interface, specified in the following format:
<networkPrefix> {<netmask> | /<maskLength>}
where:
<networkPrefix>is the IPv4 network prefix specifying the network.Example:
192.168.225.0<netmask>is the IPv4 mask length in dotted decimal notation.Example:
255.255.255.0/<maskLength>is the IPv4 mask length in CIDR notation.Example:
/24
<portName>
(Optional) The monitoring port name, such as pether3.
If you do not specify a monitoring port, the next-hop address you specify is set for the default egress port (pether4, pether6, pether8, or pether10) associated with the VRF instance.
no
The no form of this command removes the specified static route from the specified VRF instance.
Example
The following example adds a static route for the VRF instance vrfD.
