Installs the latest stable firmware image version that was packaged with the current product image on the hardwareʼs IPMI Flash memory. Updating the IPMI firmware reverts all settings to factory defaults, including the IPMI user name and password, network configuration, and event logs. Gather this information before you update the IPMI firmware.
Caution
Do not reload the IPMI firmware, reload the system, or turn the power off and on while a firmware update is in progress because an incomplete firmware update will make the IPMI interface inoperative. Usually, you can recover from interrupted updates by entering the ipmi firmware update latest command again. However, in some cases of incomplete updates, you might have to shut down and disconnect the system power for a period of time or, in rare cases, contact Trellix Support.
