You can name and rename host sets at any time.
Caution
If you save a host set with a new name, the host set is simply renamed. Any changes you have made are saved to the host set with the new name.
It is a good idea to name host sets based on their purpose. Follow these naming conventions:
Set names can contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores, but no other special characters.
Spaces are converted to underscores.
Set names are truncated after 256 characters.
Names that are the same as domain or filter names can be confusing. Avoid confusion by choosing more specific names.
Acceptable Names:
QA_Windows7_workstations
Chicago_Office
Executive_Laptops_Ann_Arbor
Poor Names:
QANet or hr.lawrencedomain.com (names that are the same as one of your organization's Windows Domain names)
Windows 7 Enterprise (a name that is the same as that of an OS and patch)
Seattle R&D (a name containing the ampersand special character).
