Removes an NTP authentication key.

Important

If the key is mapped to an NTP server, you must use the no ntp server <server> authentication command to disable authentication on that server before you can remove the key from the system.

Syntax

no ntp authentication key <number>

Parameters

number

The key ID of the authentication key to remove.

Example

The following example disables authentication on the NTP server to which the key ID of 4 is mapped, and then removes the key from the system.

hostname (config) # no ntp server 172.16.2.3 authentication
hostname (config) # no ntp authentication key 4
