Verify TIE Topology

Once two TIE Servers have been deployed, verify that each is assigned the correct operating mode. There should be one Primary TIE Server and one Secondary TIE Server in the Topology.

In ePO, select Menu | Configuration | Server Settings | TIE Server Topology Management. Verify that the two TIE Server instances are configured as Primary and Secondary.

Test the registered server connection

To ensure that the TIE Server extension can communicate with the TIE database, check the connectivity using the TIE registered server page.

Task
  1. In ePO, select MenuConfigurationRegistered Server.

  2. From the Registered Servers list, select TIE Server.

  3. Select ActionsEdit to open the Test Connection page.

  4. Ensure that the IP address listed is that of the Primary TIE Server.

  5. Click Test Connection.

Note

If you have recently changed the IP address of your TIE Server's primary server, you must update the registered server IP address within ePO to match the new one. Failure to update this IP address will prevent the TIE-related ePO dashboards and reports features from functioning correctly.
