Configures a RADIUS server and prompts the user to enter and confirm the secret key. For security, the entries are masked with * characters.
Important
The key you configure on the appliance must match the key that was configured on the RADIUS server.
Note
Alternatively, you can use the
radius-server host <ip address> key <key string>command to enter the key string in plain text.
Syntax
radius-server <ip address> prompt-key
Parameters
ip address
Specify the IPv4 or IPv6 address of the RADIUS server.
Note
Link-local and site-local IPv6 addresses are not supported.
Example
The following example sets the IP address of the RADIUS server and prompts for the secret key.
