radius-server host ＜ip address＞ key

Configures a RADIUS server and specifies the shared secret key used to communicate with this RADIUS server.

Important

The key you configure on the appliance must match the key that was configured on the RADIUS server.

Note

For security, you can use the radius-server host <ip address> prompt-key command to be prompted to enter and confirm the key, with the entries masked with * characters.

Note

This command overrides the global key configured with the radius-server key command.

Syntax

radius-server host <ip address> key <key string>

Parameters

ip address

Specify the IPv4 or IPv6 address of the RADIUS server.

Note

Link-local and site-local IPv6 addresses are not supported.

key string

Specify the secret key string that was configured on the RADIUS server.

Example

The following example adds the secret key for the specified RADIUS server.
