The process for remediating an endpoint in a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is identical to remediating any other endpoint on your network.
The Host Remediation module is specifically designed to work across network segments without requiring additional configuration. Since all communication uses the existing secure channel between the endpoint and the EDRF server, you do not need to create special firewall rules to allow access into your DMZ. This architecture allows for direct endpoint access without altering existing firewall rules in the DMZ.
To launch a session with a DMZ-provisioned device:
From the main menu, navigate to Modules → Host Remediation.
In the Search field, enter the hostname, IP address, or Endpoint ID of the target DMZ device.
Click Search.
From the search results, confirm the device details and click Initiate.
After the status changes to Ready for Remediation, click the gear icon and select Connect.
A secure terminal session opens directly in the EDRF UI, just as it would for an internal endpoint.
