show interfaces

Displays the status and traffic statistics for one or all interfaces. You can also view a brief summary of the status information (no traffic statistics) or just the interface configuration.

Note

Monitoring (pether3 to pether_n) ports are not displayed using the show interfaces command. To see the status of these ports, use the show interfaces name command.

Syntax

show interfaces [name] [brief | configured]

Parameters

name

Interface name (such as “ether1,” “tap0,” or “lo” for loopback).

brief

Displays a brief summary of the status information (no traffic statistics).

configured

Displays just the configured settings for the enabled interfaces.

The following example shows status and traffic statistics for all interfaces.
