TIE server policy connectivity using IPv6

Prev Next

TIE communicates with dependent products and submits file samples using IPv4 by default. However, starting with release TIE 4.6.1, users have the option to choose IPv6. Note that configuring the TIE server with IPv6 is only required if connecting to Trellix GTI or IVX Cloud over IPv6.

The user can select either IPv4 or IPv6 by running a reconfiguration script. To do this, log in as the root user and run the reconfig-ipstack script in TIE server. This will prompt you to enable either IPv4 or IPv6, depending on your preference.

Note

You must restart the TIE server after switching between IPv4 and IPv6 networks using reconfig-ipstack script.

To check the connection status for IVX Cloud and Trellix GTI, go to Server Settings, then select TIE Server Topology Management. This will show you the current connection details.
