This section outlines the supported paths for upgrading to Endpoint Detection and Response with Forensics (EDRF). The seamless upgrade process allows you to upgrade from previous solutions, such as Trellix EDR and Endpoint Security (HX), while preserving your custom policy configurations.
The upgrade follows a two-stage process:
Policy Upgrade: You must first migrate your existing security policies to the EDRF policy framework.
Client Deployment: After the policies are upgraded, you can deploy the EDRF Client to your endpoints.
You must migrate policies before deploying the client to ensure your settings are applied correctly. The installer automatically uninstalls the previous client.
