Use Silent Mode to install a ePO - On-prem update

Use the command line to install scripted files in Silent Mode on the ePO - On-prem 5.10 server and Agent Handler servers.

Note

This feature is only supported on Update 5 and later.

  1. Log on as administrator to the server hosting ePO - On-prem.

  2. Copy and extract the ePO - On-prem update .zip package to the server hosting ePO - On-prem.

  3. Run the Command Prompt as administrator:

    1. Run the install.bat file, located here: epo_5.10.0_servicepack1update\resources\app.

      For example, C:\ePO CU BUILDS\epo_5.10.0_servicepack1update\resources\app\install.bat.

    2. Enter the command install.bat [your password] and replace the default password with your ePO - On-prem database server password.

      For example, C:\Users\cloudadmin.WIN-QFN79SPC5U4.000\Desktop\CU BUILDS\epo_5.10.0_servicepack1update\resources\app> install.bat Welcome123.

  4. Verify the installation:

    • If the latest update is installed, the message Update is already installed appears.

    • If the update isn't installed, the service restarts and the installation runs.
