The xAgent Policy Service groups policy settings into categories. Each policy category allows you to manage and control a specific set of agent behaviors on your host endpoints. Policy categories include the following:

Exploit Guard Protection
Malware Protection
Malware Scans
Polling
Proxy
Quarantine
Real-Time Indicator Detection
Tamper Protection
Server Address (Default only)
Wintrust Validation
Resource Use
The xAgent Default Policy defines default settings for all of the policy categories. You can create a custom policy that defines settings for one or more policy categories and assigns the custom policy to specific host sets in your environment. Agent settings in your custom policy take precedent over agent settings in the xAgent Default Policy.
