Adding a destination to the data exfiltration whitelist using the Web UI

Use the Add Whitelist Network dialog box to add a destination IPv4 address range to the data exfiltration alerts whitelist.

This whitelist specifies IPv4 destination addresses only. The appliance does not generate data exfiltration alerts for data uploads to hosts or networks in the data exfiltration whitelist. The whitelist is empty by default.

Prerequisites

Admin access to the SmartVision appliance.

To add a destination to the data exfiltration detection whitelist:

Log in to the appliance Web UI and select Settings > SmartVision Configuration.
Click the Data Exfiltration Detection tab.
Go to the Whitelist Networks panel and click Add.
Enter the IPv4 address range you want to whitelist. The appliance does not generate data exfiltration alerts for data uploads to hosts or networks in the data exfiltration whitelist. Specify the address in classless inter-domain routing (CIDR) format: (<ipAddress>/<prefix>).
Click Add.
The new address appears in the Whitelist Networks pane.
