A virtual sensor is a virtual instance of an appliance system image. A virtual sensor provides the same detection efficacy as a physical appliance, but requires no hardware.
The following sections describe how to deploy a virtual File Protect sensor using Microsoft Hyper-V.
Caution
Windows Hyper-V version 10.0.14393 or later is required. Earlier versions are not supported, and virtual appliances installed using those versions will not function properly.
