An administrator can export one or more data policies from one Helix Enterprise organization into a CSV file and import them into other organizations. This is useful in a federated setup where child organizations are subject to the same data policies as their parent organization. This ensures standardization and prevents issues inherent in manually created policies, particularly if the policies use complex TQL statements to produce granular restrictions.
Note
An imported policy with the same name as an existing policy but with different rules will replace the existing rules.
This section describes how to export data policies to your local machine.
To export data policies:
To export all data policies, on the Policies tab, click Export all as CSV.
To export a selection of policies, on the Policies tab, select the policies and click Export as CSV.
To export a single policy, select the policy and click Export as CSV or select Export as CSV from the Options menu.
This section describes how to import data policies to another Helix Enterprise organization.
To import data policies:
Pivot to the Data Policies page of the other organization.
On the Policies tab, click Import Data Policy.
Select Choose File and navigate to the exported CSV file on your local machine.
Click Upload.
