Filtering with the event table

The Event Table summarizes and displays all session results for the current search query in a table view. Each field in the table includes a drop-down menu that allows you to apply the field term or value to a new search or the current search or to exclude the term or value from the current search.

To add a filter to your current search, click on the arrow in a particular field and select a filter option:

Description

Replace the current search

Constructs a new query in the Query Bar using the field name and term or value to a new search.

Add to current search (AND)

Adds the field name and term or value to a current search in the Query Bar by applying the AND operator.

Add to current search (OR)

Adds the field name and term or value to a current search in the Query Bar by applying the OR operator.

Exclude from current search

Excludes the field name and term or value from a current search in the Query Bar.

Row Details

From the Event Table, you can quickly view all the metadata results for a particular document in your search results by clicking on the Table link associated with the document row. The Row Details window displays the document's metadata. Quickly and easily add a "MUST"or "MUST NOT" field name and value filter to your search query by clicking on the + (plus) or - (minus) icons next to each field value.
