This procedure provides the steps to configure a Gmail application connector. This integration allows the console to monitor and interact with the specified Gmail account and folder. You can add multiple configurations for the same application if your organization needs to connect to multiple Gmail accounts.

  1. Click Add to open the configuration card for a new application connector.

  2. Name: Assign a name for the configuration.

  3. Navigate to the Parameters tab, set Authentication parameters:

    • User Email Address: Specify the Gmail account to connect.

    • Folder: Choose the email folder to monitor. For example, inbox.

    • Mark As Read: Choose True or False to determine if emails should be marked as read after being processed by the workflow.

    • Interval: Set the time interval (in seconds) for how often the system should check for new emails.

    • Sender Email (Optional): Enter an email address to filter monitored emails by sender.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Navigate to the HTTP tab and set Authentication parameters:

    • URL: https://gmail.googleapis.com

    • Auth Type: Select OAuth as the authentication method.

    • Grant Type: Choose Authorization Code.

    • Redirect URL: This field is automatically populated.

    • Client ID: Enter the OAuth Client ID for authentication.

    • Client Secret: Enter the OAuth client secret.

    • Auth URL: https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth

    • Token URL: https://oauth2.googleapis.com/token

    • Scopes: https://mail.google.com/

    • Auth Style: Choose “Auto Detect” and provide consent on the pop-up Gmail screen

  6. Click Next.

  7. Navigate to the Edge tab and select an appropriate Edge from the list. For example, trellix-default.

    Tip

    You can use the Auto Detect button to find and list available edges.

  8. Click Save.

The Gmail connector is now configured and ready to be used in Workflows and Federated Search.
