The IPMI allows you to perform the following tasks remotely from a Web browser:
Cycle the power on your appliance when it is unresponsive.
Reset the server.
Access the serial console when the management interface is unavailable or unresponsive.
The IPMI interface uses a network connection to the IPMI port of the appliance and is accessed through a secure Web browser session.
The IPMI interface is disabled by default. You must set the IPMI settings during the initial configuration. See Initial Configuration.
