The Software Update tool simplifies the software upgrade process for your NDR and PX appliances. Depending on your NDR-PX appliance configuration, you can upload the latest software release image and PX software release image to your NDR Director or NDR master node and deploy it to all connected NDR and PX appliances.
An NDR-PX appliance configuration with an NDR Director uses the openVPN tunnel on eth0 to automatically deploy the NDR software image to your connected NDR master and data nodes. An NDR-PX appliance configuration with a single NDR master or multiple NDR masters uses the eth1 connection to automatically deploy the uploaded software release image to connected data nodes. The NDR Director and master use the SSH tunnel to deploy the PX software image to your PX appliances.
