Trellix EDR has a default set of initial configurations which help security analysts configure the product with minimal settings before using it.
Log on to Trellix EDR as administrator.
Click the configuration icon on the top-right corner to access the Configuration page.
Select the right configuration for your environment:
Use Trellix ePO - SaaS for management
Use Trellix ePO - On-prem for management
Important
Make sure you select the correct configuration. This setting can only be changed with the assistance of Customer Support.
Click Save, then click Continue to confirm the configuration.
In the View account settings section, you can opt to share telemetry data by clicking I choose to share telemetry data (defined below) with Trellix, then click Save.
Click Install components to view instructions, then click Done.
Click Configure data sources to view the list of data sources that you can configure, where ePO - On-prem or ePO - SaaS is required and Trellix ESM is recommended.
You have successfully configured Trellix EDR.
