Enables or disables email notifications for the specified event type. This command does not affect autosupport emails. To configure autosupport emails, see email autosupport event <event_name> .

Note

To view the event types for which notification emails will be sent, see show email events .

Syntax

[no] email notify event <event>

Parameters

Disables sending email notifications.

event

The events for which to send notifications.

aggregation-failure — Alert aggregation failed for one or more sensors. (Central Management System)

avc-overload— An email notification is sent out to the admin when the avc process is overloaded. (All except Central Management System)

avc-vm-change—The number of recommended virtual machines has changed for an attack validation controller. (All except Central Management System)

bypass-count—The bypass count exceeded a certain threshold. (Email Security — Server)

cmc-new-client—A new potential Central Management System client has announced itself. (Central Management System)

cmc-status-failure—The Central Management System appliance has detected an error in a managed appliance. (Central Management System)

cmc-status-ok—A Central Management System status error has been corrected. (Central Management System)

cmc-version-mismatch—The Central Management System appliance connected to an appliance with a different system software version. (Central Management System)

deferred-queue—The deferred queue email count exceeded a certain threshold. (Email Security — Server)

deployment-check-failure—A deployment check has failed. (Network Security)

deployment-check-recover—A deployment check has recovered. (Network Security)

disk-space-low—Free disk space is low (enabled by default). (All Series)

disk-space-ok—Free disk space returned to normal (enabled by default). (All Series)

dupe-appliance-detected—A duplicate virtual appliance has been detected. (All Series)

emps-bypass-entered—The appliance has entered the email bypass state. (Email Security — Server)

excessive-temperature—Excessive temperature has been reached. (All Series)

faas-vpn-status-change—The status of the FaaS VPN has changed. (All Series)

fan-failure—A fan has failed. (All Series)

fan-recover—A fan has been recovered. (All Series)

gi-low-disk-download-failed—A guest image download failed due to low disk space. (All Series)

ha-status-change—The status of a High Availability configuration has changed. (Network Security)

hardware-bypass-entered—Permanent hardware bypass mode has been entered. (Network Security)

http-throughput—HTTP throughput has not increased for a specified time. (Network Security)

if-link-change—An interface link has changed. (All Series)

inline-engine-down—The inline packet inspection process has stopped. (IPS-enabled appliances only)

inline-engine-up—The inline packet inspection process has started. (IPS-enabled appliances only)

interface-down—An interface’s link state has changed to down. (All Series)

interface-up—An interface’s link state has changed to up. (All Series)

license-state-changed—A license state has changed. (All Series)

manual-failover—A manual failover has occurred on a Central Management System appliance configured for High Availability. (Central Management System)

malicious_maid—A malicious URL or file was detected. (Malware Analysis)

mvx-cluster-state-changed—The MVX cluster state has changed. (Central Management System)

mvx-cluster-util-threshold-exceeded—The MVX cluster utilization has exceeded its threshold. (Central Management System)

mvx-enrollment-failure—MVX Cluster enrollment has failed. (Network Security, Intelligent Virtual Execution - Server)

normal-temperature—Temperature is normal. (All Series)

physical-disk-failure—A physical disk has failed. (All Series)

physical-disk-recover—A physical disk has been recovered. (All Series)

power-supply-failure—A power supply has failed. (All Series)

power-supply-recover—A power supply has been recovered. (All Series)

process-crash—A process in the system has unexpectedly terminated. (All Series)

raid-status-failure—A RAID error has occurred. (All Series)

service-degraded—The service has degraded events. (Malware Analysis and Email Security — Server)

sizing-threshold-exceeded—One of the sizing measurements has exceeded its threshold. (Network Security)

sizing-threshold-normal—All sizing measurements are back to normal. (Network Security)

smart-warning—Disk warnings generated by the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) system (disabled by default). (All Series)

smtp-bypass-exited—The email bypass state has been exited. (Email Security — Server)

smtp-interface-recover—The SMTP interface has been enabled after a recovery. (Email Security — Server)

smtp-refuse-connection—The SMTP interface setting has been disabled from receiving/sending emails. (Email Security — Server)

syslog-rotation—System log files have been rotated. (All Series)

token-server-reachable—The token server is reachable.(All Series)

token-server-unreachable—The token server is unreachable. (All Series)

token-state-change—The activation state of the virtual appliance has changed. (All Series)

unexpected-failover—An unexpected failover on a Central Management System appliance configured for High Availability has occurred. (Central Management System)

user-login—A user logged in to the system. (All Series)

user-logout—A user logged out of the system. (All Series)
