Trellix Native Drive Encryption 5.2.5 Release Notes

This release includes all fixes from the previous release. We recommend that you always upgrade to the most current update.

Important: This release addresses an issue that affects a limited number of customers where BitLocker recovery keys fail to appear in ePO, potentially resulting in user lockout. This issue can occur in environments that use cloud-native identity management, such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). Endpoints utilizing an on-premises Active Directory are not affected. For impacted customers, we strongly advise verifying that recovery keys are accessible in ePO and upgrading to Trellix Native Drive Encryption 5.2.5 to prevent the issue from recurring. New features and changes

You will notice the following changes in the software:

• Product Name change — In this release, Trellix Management of Native Encryption is renamed to Trellix Native Drive Encryption. All features and options prefixed with Trellix Management of Native Encryption are renamed with the new product name Trellix Native Drive Encryption.

• The Domain user (Trellix Preboot) is indicated as deprecated in the User Interface — In this release, the Domain user (Trellix Preboot) option in System authentication has been deprecated, indicating that the Trellix Preboot feature will be removed in a future Trellix Native Drive Encryption release.
